Pure Magic

Pure Magic (PM) is a fast set Urethane.

PM is a 2: 1 mixture with a set time of approx 5 minutes. Initial consistency is much like running warm honey reducing to a cold honey consistency as the mixture starts to set.

PM can be released from moulded items in circa 20 minutes depending upon substrate even though moulds do become tougher over a 4 hour period.

PM is perfect for making flexible moulds that would otherwise require multipart labour intensive fibreglass or box/two piece expensive silicone moulds.

Two versions of Pure magic are available with shore A harnesses of 35 and 75.

Puremagic 35 ( 35 Shore A) is ideal for making economical flexible moulds.

Puremagic 75 ( 75 Shore A) is perfect for film prop products or rigid moulds such as concrete stamp moulds. Other uses so far are also; electronic;s encapsulation, water proof pond material over geotextile material, Concrete stamp matts, Concrete mould.

Pure magic 75;s natural colour is beige, Pure Magic 35 is milky white. Urethane dye;s can be used to colour the product.

Example one - Fiberglass Plug Pure magic

Plug is a fibreglass item with  undercuts. Pure Magic adheres perfectly to itself. Multiple pours were made to build up the mould to the desired thickness.
Reinforcing of certain parts of the mould is easy, simply allow Pure magic to thicken in the pouring vessel by delaying the pouring until the liquid is nearing it;s set time. Pure Magic mould can be released from the plug as soon 20 minutes, moulds do become tougher over a period of 4 hours.

Example Two - Fire Place

Mould was to be taken from a Plaster fibreplace surround. Item could just have easily been a Spoiler, cowling, dash board, etc. Multiple pours were used to build up the thickness of the mould. Product heats to approx 50 degrees C and quickly reduces. Hands on and spatula;s application recommended.
To maintain the shape and integrity of the fireplace it is advisable to back the mould with a fiberglass jacket. This guarantee's the finished fireplace to be produced with the correct alignment. Pure magic adhere;s perfectly to itself: The building up of thinner parts of the mould can be done effortlessly.
